'Runtime Error 5' Issue and Resolution

On August 17, 2019 Microsoft released a few Windows Security Updates for several versions of Windows.  These Windows Updates helped resolve the "Runtime Error 5: Invalid Procedure Call Error" that was introduced by the Windows Update which was released on August 13, 2019.  Below is a list of the Windows Updates that were released for each version of Windows.

If you want to verify what version of Windows you are using, please launch the Command Prompt and type in "winver" (without quotes) and this should give you the exact version.  To apply the latest Windows Update, please use the "Check for Updates" option on the Settings page of your Windows operating system.  You can also use the Microsoft Update Catalog to search for the Windows Update for your version of Windows.  The Microsoft Update Catalog can be found here.
